Question 1: No the research project that i would write to my teacher isnt copy righted. If someone came to you and said that they wanted to use your paper then you would copy right it so i would be yours. But no you arnt just automatically copy righted. You would go through process that would make your paper belong to you and get all the credit but this video didn't really touch on that.
Question 2: I think that taking someones information is stealing. You could do what he said which was using his ideas but clearly stating that they were his ideas then put your take on the situation too. You can get in trouble for doing what he did in that video. YOu can still use what the other guy had but you need to have your own ideas also.
Question3: From what they said no not all downloading is illegal. But the kind he was doing was. He took songs from Napster. I dont think that he should be fined 625,000 for it i think thats ridiculous and i feel bad for him. i think he should be fined because what he did was wrong but thats isn't even reasonable. At all.
Question 4: I have downloaded wiki from school websites but thats never stealing from that person because they said i could. I have never downloaded something sketchy that would be stealing. I dont want to be stealing from anyone or anything and get into trouble for it so i just dont do it.
Question 5: I think people make computer viruses to get peoples personal information. i dont think that it is okay or right at all. I think they should get a stronger vitus protection system because people still get a lot of viruses.
Question 6: I think your most susceptible to phishing is when your shopping online and they ask you for a password or something that you use to get into your account. When you get an email saying that you need to confirm something hen you should make sure thats what you really need to do before you do it.
Question 7: People that suffer with online piracy is famous people or people that produce the piece. they need to make it to where they cant take there music or movies or whatever it may be but at the same time they need to understand that people are going to put things on youtube and the people that get on youtube are going to watch it. They need to take it as a compliment that people want to listen to there music. There not stealing it by listening to it thats only when there download it.
Question 8: I think that americans should be aloud to look up and look at anything on the internet. ITs not the congresses job to tell us what we can and cant look at. We should be bale to make that decision on our own. Its even stated in the 1st amendment.
